Harry Taylor takes on Sue Myrick on poverty and jobs!

Wed Jul 23, 2008 at 09:17:17 AM PDT

Remember the All-American hero who stood up to George Bush when he appeared in person in Charlotte, North Carolina?  Remember how Bush was so taken back by Harry Taylor's respectful, well-thought-out and on-point approach?  Well, Harry is now running for US Congress in the 9th US District in North Carolina and he is taking on Sue Myrick.  Sue Myrick has had her turn and she has done virtually nothing, just like Bush.  She will be just as taken back by Harry Taylor as Bush was.

Congressional Candidate Harry Taylor's a winner

Harry Taylor's a winner!  Everyone who knows Harry know that.  Harry is running against Sue Myrick in the 9th District.  Recently the Young Democrats of Mecklenburg County awarded Harry their highest award at their annual awards meeting.

Meet me below the fold.

Help Larry Kissell stand up for America and against Robin Hayes

Fri May 23, 2008 at 07:59:02 AM PDT

Nov. 29, 2006 was a sad day.  Larry Kissell conceded defeat to
Robin Hayes that day.  It was the closest race in the nation with the eventual count being a difference of only 329 votes.  As someone who lived in that area of North Carolina (US 8th District), I can tell you that many voters weren’t happy with the outcome and there were a few who wondered if in fact the end result was correct.  But as we voters have learned in elections since 2000, we ‘grin and bear it’.

Remote Area Medical's Rural America Program and it's free

Mon Mar 03, 2008 at 06:29:52 AM PDT

Recently 60 Minutes did a spot on Remote Health Care and I was so impressed with their work and so saddened that America has come to this that I wanted to share part of that piece with you.

I'm wondering why Obama couldn't work New Orleans into his schedule.

Sat Feb 23, 2008 at 06:58:12 AM PDT

Once the primaries for certain states are over, where are the candidates?  Remember how Bush courted every 'little' voter until he was (never say won) in office?  Then, Katrina hit and where was George.  Are we now seeing a repeat of George with Obama and McCain skipping out on the voters once the votes are cast?

John Edwards sweeping South Carolina to change.

Sat Jan 26, 2008 at 07:56:04 AM PDT

I have tracked John Edwards for over a year now filming his events and putting them on multiple video sites.  This week was different.  He has a new breath of fresh air and new momentum.  I haven't seen that sort of 'vigor' in a while.  I think John Edwards is bound to come in very high in South Carolina.  I will hold my predictions of which place as I don't think I need to say that, but I do have my own opinion.

Senator Edwards supports communities every where he goes!

Tue Jan 15, 2008 at 03:25:16 PM PDT

p>Sunday, Senator and Presidential Candidate John Edwards attended worship service along with SC Representative and Black Legislative Caucus Chairman Leon Howard.   They attended Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter, SC.

Clemson University adores John Edwards!

Fri Jan 11, 2008 at 08:13:53 AM PDT

Earlier this week, Senator John Edwards met with supporters on the campus of Clemson University.  Since he attended Clemson during the early years of his college career, and he is well known for his athletic ability during those years, they gave him a jersey as a momento.  Oh, how that will clash in Chapel Hill with the sky blue that most likely hangs in his closet.

John Edwards - 'Rockin' in Columbia, SC

Thu Jan 10, 2008 at 03:25:24 PM PDT

Yesterday I traveled to Columbia, South Carolina to attend a John Edwards event.  To say this was a successful event would be the most gross understatement of the New Year.  It was an absolutely packed house with standing room only.

John Edwards and John Mellancamp ... All fired up!

Wed Jan 02, 2008 at 09:14:41 PM PDT

Just in from the John Edwards/John Mellencamp concert.  Wow!  What a night.  I don't know how many people were there officially, but watch our race fans... you may be the second biggest crowd!

'We the People', John Edwards in Fort Dodge, Iowa

Wed Jan 02, 2008 at 02:53:01 PM PDT

Yesterday afternoon John and Elizabeth Edwards and Mari Culver, First Lady of Iowa, spend a portion of their New Years Day with the people of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

No Lobbyists, No PACS in the White House... John Edwards

Sat Dec 29, 2007 at 02:11:19 PM PDT

Today, Senator John Edwards continued to make groundbreaking announcements on his journey to the White House.  Today, he made a major announcement regarding PAC and Llobbyists.

John Edwards, the man for 'the People' in Iowa!

Wed Dec 19, 2007 at 05:48:23 AM PDT

Last week it was my great fortune to be able to be in Iowa and be a part of seeing history unfold as Senator John Edwards took the 'America Rising' bus tour across Iowa.  My husband and I joined the in at the tour stop in Cedar Falls, Iowa on Saturday.

New Hampshire Town Meetings - John Edwards

Thu Nov 22, 2007 at 09:42:33 AM PDT

Recently I traveled to New Orleans to video some Edwards campaign events and on to New Hampshire to record some there.  I was particularly interested in the New Hampshire events since that is one of the Primary states.  So, I attended a Town Meeting in New Market in the middle of the day, in Portsmouth in early evening and one at the University of New Hampshire in Durham at night.

John Edwards visits 'A Place for Hope', a community with no utilities.

Thu Nov 15, 2007 at 09:57:50 AM PDT

There are actually communities in America that are within medium size towns and in the shadow of new and savvy cities, that don't have even the basics of survival.  'A Place for Hope' is working to change that in Rock Hill, South Carolina.  This community doesn't have sewer lines, water lines, septic systems or even paved roads.

John Edwards picked up a hammer to rebuild New Orleans

Mon Nov 12, 2007 at 07:41:36 AM PDT

Last week John Edwards returned to New Orleans to work on yet another Habitat for Humanity project.  This one was at Musicians Village.  New Orleans is very much aware that their much prized musicians must remain in New Orleans and need affordable places to live.

John Edwards -National Day of Climate Change

Sat Nov 10, 2007 at 03:41:25 PM PDT

Last Saturday I was in New Orleans where Senator John Edwards worked with Habitat to help rebuild New Orleans. (Videos available soon.)  Then he went to the AdEgg building where he worked to help save the earth.  It was National Day of climate change and the crowd gave him thunderous applause throughout his speech.  They were avidly pro-Edwards and they showed it proudly.

Danny Glover's Video endorsement of John Edwards

Fri Nov 09, 2007 at 08:41:17 AM PDT

Last week I met Danny Glover in Rock Hill, SC for the second time.  He, like John Edwards, is a very personable and approachable guy.  So, after we toured 'A Place for Hope' I asked for and received permission from Danny to do a video of him endorsing John Edwards for President. Wow! My 'career' as a reporter is non-existent and as a Citizen Journalist is somewhat small.  But, this will remain one of the highlights for a very long time and I wanted to share it with you.
